Research/Lead Engineer Embedded System Hardware – ShangHai

Essential Responsibilities

• Performs R&D in high performance electronics system development for products in a wide variety of GE businesses: healthcare, Oil & Gas, Sensing, Smart Grid and Inspection;
• Take responsibility for proposal initialization, concept development, prototype implementation & validation;
• Work within the Signal & Digital Electronics Lab at GE Global Research-Shanghai and collaborate with a diverse team both at GE’s other global research centers and business units to grow and lead new research projects

Qualifications/Requirements
PhD degree with major in Electronics Design, Signal Processing, Embedded System or Communication area, or Master degree with 3+ years working experience.

• 5+ years research experience on digital/analog electronics system development for industry, healthcare or avionics applications.
• Rich experience in digital/analog electronics design
  In-depth understanding on computer architecture, HW/SW co-design, algorithm acceleration/parallel processing
• Strong capability in plan, design, implement, debug and optimizing embedded system based on FPGA/MCU/DSP/GPU;
• Familiar with in Verilog/VHDL programming, FPGA synthesize/implementation tool-chain and design flow
• Familiar with EDA tools, including schematic design, PCB, Signal Integrity analysis, SPICE modeling
  In-depth understanding in signal processing algorithm, esp, instrumentation, healthcare related application algorithm will be a strong plus.
• Demonstrated understanding and practical experience on industrial products and processes;
• Demonstrated ability to convert high-level customer needs into a technical development strategy;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Communicate effectively both in written and oral English in a global team.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Innovative nature and willingness to pursue new technical areas.
