No prior military experience is necessary to become an enlisted member of the Navy Reserve. However, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 18 years of age and no older than 40 upon joining
- Have a high school diploma (GED certificates valid in some instances)
