We are an established Oncology Biopharmaceutical company located in North-Central New Jersey. We have an immediate need to hire a Director Oncology Translational Medicine to co-lead the Oncology Translational Medicine Team. In this key position you will be responsible for the identification, validation and implementation of biomarker strategies for oncology / immunology and infectious disease projects to provide clinical evidence to support advancing compounds for late stage development. You will also work as a lead for First in Human, Phase 1 and Proof of Mechanism studies of small and large molecular therapy.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead selected non-product clinical studies supporting biomarker development and validation.
- Perform medical review and monitoring of Translational Medicine / Clinical Pharmacology projects.
- Develop budget estimates, manage hiring, performance and staff development.
- Represent Translational Medicine / Clinical Pharmacology FDA and EMEA meetings.
- Job Requirements:
- M.D. or PhD degree and a minimum of 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience in translational medicine, experimental medicine and/ or clinical pharmacology.
- Extensive experience in oncology therapeutics directing Phase I programs required.
- In depth knowledge of drug development processes, clinical trial processes and registration processes.
- Must be willing to travel approximately 15%.
