This is a program management role to lead projects implementation for the Channel/Retail business in API. Reporting to the Director, Channel Operations & Planning, it plays a strategic role in driving the success of the retail business and will be responsible for the defining and implementing retail operational strategies and programs at a regional wide basis. It will ensure that they fall in line with the overall global/ regional objectives and define project road map and schedules to drive timely implementation of programs. The role will work with all stakeholders – Sales, Product Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain etc at Dell to build the capabilities to serve the retail markets.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design, implementation and management of processes, tools, and systems at the region/country level to support the Retail business.
- Implement a standardized regional wide customer scorecard process and drive customer satisfaction improvements to build a robust business relationship with distributors and retailers in API.
- Drive Order to delivery cycletime improvements
- Optimize cost to serve in end to end logistics in the distribution model
- Establish and implement retail management processess
- Develop standard terms and conditions for new customer accounts (Customer Profiling- ship terms, pay term, SLA etc)
- This individual will communicate/ influence the regional/ country level teams to get clarity of priorities and resources for all strategic initiatives.
- Champions new product launches for operational readiness
- Define requirements and decide priorities for IT related programs in retail for API.
- Drive continuous improvements in critical processes and capabilities.
- Share best practices and institutionalize systems / processes
Interactions
Close partnership with the Sales Director & Country Sales Team, Channel Planning, Supply Planning, Pricing, Global Retail Operations, Product Operations, Supply Chain teams, Logistics Providers and External Retail Partners
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or related discipline.
- 8-10+ years experience in Program Management or Operations Management in Consumer Electronics, IT or FMCG industries.
- Experience in the retail environment in Asia
- Must have excellent Program Management Skills
- Proven ability to define, implement and manage operational processes at both regional/country levels
- Demonstrated ability to champion a project and work thru a matrix organizations
- Demonstrated leadership in implementing new market strategies and products
- Experience in distribution of retail goods on a direct to store delivery basis and indirect distributor/wholesale network in the specified markets.
- Must have a customer centric mindset in problem solving
- Excellent people skills
