BASIC PURPOSE: This position is responsible for acquiring new Business Class customers in the small and mid market business customer segments within the Time Warner Cable Kansas City Division service area. Our Account Executives represent Time Warner Cables rapidly expanding, high growth business class products and solutions including: high speed internet access, video, commercial voice solutions/VOIP, security/surveillance, wireless mesh/access, dedicated fiber optic solutions for high bandwidth applications, web-hosting, and e-mail packages.
Major duties include, but are not limited to:
- Identify new prospects for Time Warner Cable Business Class services
- Conduct needs assessments, identify suitable applications solutions, develop and present proposals including respective timelines for delivery, and solicit orders.
- Secure Right of Entry Agreements from property owners as needed.
- Ensure outstanding customer service and responsiveness including assisting in coordination and project management during both pre and post sales phases.
- Manage a base of Business Class accounts on an on-going basis. This includes frequent service follow-ups, problems solving, monitoring competitive activities and identifying emerging needs.
- Expand the market awareness of Time Warner Business Class services through involvement and support of marketing programs, community/market development and other acquisition and retention programs.
- Handle sales, territory and account administration duties.
EDUCATION
College degree preferred, with concentration in Business, Communications, Computer Science; or 3-5 years telecomm sales experience required.
Special Skills/Knowledge/Abilities (experience with, but not limited to):
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years proven business-to-business sales experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Previous telecommunications experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines required.
- The ability to adapt quickly, demonstrate technical aptitude and being able to work in a team environment required
- Must be 18 years of age or older, with valid driver’s license
- Must have an excellent driving record/proof of insurance (no more than one moving violation within the past three years)
